Crazy snowboard is one of those Android Games, that you are sure is a port from a console, but it turns out it is actually an original game from the ground up. That’s not to say that it doesn’t borrow from other games – the Tony Hawks series being the most prime example – but it has both an old-school familiar arcade feel and a modern mobile aspect to it as well.
One of the first things that will strike is the graphics of the game, it has all the smooth animations and framerate of a top-level game, with the backdrop always being nicely featured and the courses being littered with well detailed ramps and trees. While it is not on the same level as the console games it does remind me of early dreamcast games and others from that era. The presentation is simple with the front end menu being simple and clear and the different missions being easily accessible. The adds a professional feel to the game.

Another aspect of why it feels so professional is the controls. The game takes the traditional controller and mimics it onto the screen. This meaning that on the left, the action button is to spin and the right is used for different tricks. To steer the snowboarder, the game utilises the accelerometer, in the manner of a steering wheel, to move left and right. As the avatar is continually going forward only left and right is needed.
The gameplay is divided into a freestyle mode and missions. The missions concentrate on gathering letters, jumping through hoops or gaining a certain amount of points. All the missions feel different with the level design and structure being varied. However the challenges themselves are not the most imaginative like collecting ten coins or go through fifteen gates.

Overall this one of the best Android games available, with the graphics being one of the best on the mobile scene. The controls are easy to use, but most importantly the gameplay is addictive and encourages playing through again with different boards and snowboarders to unlock. There is no logical reason for me not to recommend this game.
