Are You Ready To Try Something New? The Countdown To The Latest Symbian Launch Has Started

A new flash countdown timer has shown up on the Nokia’s official (Facebook.com/Nokia) Facebook page.

The timer itself gives little details and only says that "It’s almost time to TRY SOMETHING NEW" "SOMETHING NEW ON SYMBIAN" and of course displays actual hours, minutes and seconds left.

While I writing this article there are 45 hours, 45 minutes and few seconds left, which lines up with the Symbian event scheduled to be held in Hong Kong this week. I don’t know about you, but if you ask me, I smell a new devices annou… .. .

Technology: Researchers Improving GPS Accuracy In The 3rd Dimension

Researchers who are working to fix global positioning system (GPS) errors have devised software that could be used to measure how quickly glaciers at high altitudes melt. The just announced GPS software is still under development, but in initial tests it enabled centimeter-scale GPS positioning including altitude as often as 97 percent of the time which is a remarkable achievement.

Nokia Rolls Out A Major Update For Nokia N8 Camera Application With A Wide Range Of Improvements

Unfortunately, the Nokia Camera team didn’t manage to squeeze the camera improvements into just released Symbian Anna update but thanks to just released BETA version of significantly improved camera app you’ll still make your summer pictures and videos to look even better!


Continuous autofocus is something I’ve heard many video shooters asking for and it’s really nice to see that Nokia listen to what their smartphone users want and make as many people happy as possible.
