Sony Xperia S Unboxing and UI Tour Video

The Sony Xperia S was one of the best devices presented at CES 2012 and will surely be a focus on the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2012 next weekend in Barcelona. Until now, this has been one of the best smartphones to be presented this year even though everyone is expecting some super phones with Quad-Core and Tegra 3 processors to be released soon.  Nevertheless, this phone is certainly an option to have in consideration if you are planning to get an Android phone. The guys at GSMArena managed to get their hands on the Sony Xperia S and made a nice unboxing and UI tour video that you can see after the break.

Smartphones: Next big online shopping destination!

Category : Daily Mobile

News from DailyMobile.se:

Smartphones: Next big online shopping destination!

Global marketing and advertising research giant, Nielsen, today revealed the results of a survey stating that 29 percent of smartphone owners in U.S. use their phone for shopping related activities.

The survey conducted during the third quarter of 2011 discloses that top activity includes in-store price comparisons (38% of mobile shoppers), browsing products through their mobile web or apps (38%) and reading online product reviews (34%).

This is a euphoric disclosure and shows the level of comfort and ease of accessibility that smartphone owners exude in spite of the fact that majority of the online threats these days are focused on smartphones and tablets. Mobiles OS and browser(s) are safe and secure, but most of them are still evolving and their stability and security is still questionable when compared to desktop and laptop browsers and operating systems.

The vulnerability that comes with smartphone usage for making online payments is evident as only 9 percent of mobile shoppers have used their phone to pay at the register. However, the craving for having an app that can replace their credit card seems to be the next big thing for online shoppers who want to replace their smartphone with their wallets.

Growth in number of app downloads tops the list and is favored by smartphone users more than purchasing products, buying music or video content or buying tickets for an event.

Speedy LG Quad-core Optimus 4X HD to be revealed at MWC

News from DailyMobile.se:

Speedy LG Quad core Optimus 4X HD to be revealed at MWC

LG’s new flagship phone, dubbed the Optimus 4X HD, is set to be announced at next week’s Mobile World Congress.  As manufacturers try to one up each other before the big event in Barcelona, leaks of bigger and faster phones are starting to come out of the woodwork.  This one will be tough to beat.

This latest beast is said to be powered by a quad-core Tegra 3 CPU.  If that’s not enough to whet your appetite, other features include 4.7 inch 720p display, 8MP camera, 21Mbps HSPA data support all running off of Ice Cream Sandwich.  The Korean based electronics manufacturer has just fired a shot directly off of it’s countyman’s (Samsung) bow.  Will Samsung  counter with any major announcements at this year’s MWC?  Sadly, it doesn’t seem to be the case.
